The first two things I knew about myself were: 1.) I love animals 2.) I am an artist. I took private art classes from ages 5-15, ended up being a painting and illustration major, and somewhere in between, I stumbled into cosmetology. I’ve been in the hair world for about 15 years now, worked in many types of salons, even in NYC for a year, but around 6 years ago, I finally found a place to root and hone my craft at Thallo Beauty Collective. I believe I’ve learned how to meld my artistic vision with my hair skills pretty well, although I’m constantly striving for better and better execution of those visions. I get inspiration from a wide variety of places. I’m heavily influenced by anime, various alternative cultures/fashion, nature, and fantasy. I live for haircuts that don’t fit into a box. I love creating custom color palettes that fit your lifestyle and complement your natural tones. Bring me the inspo pic from that anime, video game, or one that you drew on procreate. Hi! I'm Max! I've been a painter pretty much my whole life, and I always have wanted to make art into a career. After graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts, I decided that I needed something more creatively rewarding and enrolled in cosmetology school. This has since reawakened my passion for science and design, and I am now eager to push myself creatively and further my education to learn as much as I can about the "nerdy stuff" in my profession (I will provide an infodump upon request).

I love to connect with my clients and help them feel like their most genuine, authentic selves. Whether that be through an intricately designed nail set, an edgy low-maintenance cut, hair color placements that break all of the right rules, or a little bit of everything: Let’s get strange!
